This patient came to us unhappy with the appearance of an old front tooth crown that had developed a dark line along the gum line. After evaluating the tooth, we discovered the old root canal needed to be redone. Our patient was referred to a trusted endodontist for retreatment, followed by a crown-lengthening procedure with a periodontal specialist to create a healthier and more even gumline.

Once healing was complete, Dr. Islur designed a new porcelain crown for tooth #21 (upper left front tooth) that blended beautifully with the natural smile. We also refined the shape of tooth #11 with a small bonding restoration to repair a chip and achieve a symmetrical appearance of both front teeth. The final result is a brighter, more balanced smile that our patient loves to share with others!
